Lily is a young girl who enjoys wandering the forest close to her home. During one of her explorations she comes across a tiny seed that shines like gold, and she chooses to plant it in her garden. She tends to it with water each day, yet nothing seems to happen, and Lily becomes impatient as time goes by. Her grandmother, Rose, reminds her to wait and to believe that some things deserve time. With support from her friend Pip the robin, Lily keeps looking after the seed and learns that good things take time.
At last a small green shoot appears, and Lily is filled with joy. It develops into a magical tree with silvery leaves and glowing golden fruit, and she finds that the fruit can heal plants. When a severe drought puts the village gardens at risk, Lily understands she must share the fruit with her neighbors, and she and Pip hand it out so the gardens come back to life. Written by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN, this gentle tale about patience, care and generosity can be read on Online Masal.
