The Empty Frame

In this illustrated fairy tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN, Alice explores her grandmother's attic and discovers an old wooden frame with no picture inside. Her grandmother Rose explains that the frame is special, revealing hidden places only to those who look carefully and believe. When Alice peers through it, she sees a staircase made of falling water where the attic wall should be.

The next day, Alice's five-year-old brother Toby visits, and the children take turns viewing a mountain market, a village beneath a bridge and a staircase inside a waterfall. While Alice fetches a snack, Toby disappears into the frame, and she must enter the hidden world herself, following the secret clues Rose mentioned and searching for things that do not belong. The tale can be read on Online Masal.
