The Forgotten Island

Captain Nora, a curious sailor in a navy coat with a brass compass, spends her days crossing the bright blue sea in search of new lands and new stories. One morning a tiny green island appears on her map, then vanishes when she looks again. She sails to where it should be and finds it shimmering like a mirage, so she drops anchor to explore.

On the beach she meets Pip, a small glowing turquoise creature with golden eyes and dragonfly wings, who explains that the island shows up on maps for only a few minutes each day because nobody remembers its stories anymore. Joined by a sandy-haired boy named Tobias, Nora visits the island's elders and writes their tales into her great book. This gentle story by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN follows her as she listens and records, and it can be read on Online Masal.
