Snow Fairy

High in the frosty mountains lives Crystal, a tiny snow fairy with pale-blue skin and wings like thin ice, in a shining ice palace. Each morning she waves her snowflake wand so fresh snow falls on the kingdom, and she slides down icy hills with her best friend Pip, a snow hare with pale-blue-tipped ears. Crystal loves her cold, quiet world and wishes winter would last forever.

Then the air grows warmer and a dripping sound echoes through the palace: the snow is melting. Crystal blames a glowing golden sun sprite and tries to drive it away with icy wind, but her magic only strengthens the sunbeams, and the flooded burrows of mice and rabbits show her the harm she has caused. When the Spring Fairy arrives with a basket of blossoms, Crystal begins to understand that each season has its own gifts. This gentle fantasy tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN can be read on Online Masal.
