In a quiet village set among gentle hills grows a remarkable tree whose leaves shine in all seven rainbow colors. Each leaf is alive, able to speak and move, and holds its own magical gift: the red leaf is brave, the blue leaf is wise, the green leaf is kind, and the yellow, orange, indigo and violet leaves each carry a power of their own. Together they keep the tree strong and full of magic. Seven-year-old Rose, who lives in a small cottage at the edge of the village, visits the tree every day after breakfast and loves it dearly.

One morning the leaves begin to boast and argue about which color and which gift matters most. As the quarrel grows, the tree trembles, its glow flickers and its colors slowly fade. Worried by the dull, tired leaves, Rose decides she must help. She climbs the trunk, sits on a branch and reminds the leaves of the friendship and play they once shared. This gentle tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN follows her effort to bring the arguing leaves back together, and it can be read on Online Masal. Suited to early primary children and to anyone reading aloud with them.
