The Velvet Balloon

In a quiet garden beside a bed of sleepy roses, a small toy rabbit named Pip spends his days with a cream plush coat, a blue polka-dot scarf, and a little brass compass that clicks as he walks. One morning he finds a large velvet balloon, purple as evening, hovering just above the grass. Pip gathers his friends: Bobo the bear in his red knitted vest, Lulu the mouse in her yellow flower dress, and Grandpa Owl with his round spectacles and purple shawl. Together they climb into the basket, and the balloon carries them up into the sky, while the garden shrinks below like a green patchwork quilt.

When the wind shifts and sends the balloon off course, the friends must act as a team. Pip stays calm and gives directions, Bobo grips the main rope, Lulu takes a thin cord, and Grandpa Owl handles the tail rope while reading the wind. This gentle tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN shows how patience, cooperation, and a steady head can turn a worrying moment into a shared adventure.
