Sophie enjoys visiting her Gran's cottage at the edge of town, and during a rainy afternoon she finds a small, dusty round window hidden behind a bookshelf in the upstairs hall. Instead of the garden, the glass reveals a sunny meadow filled with yellow flowers. Gran tells her the window has always been special, showing something new each morning, though nobody knows why. Curious, Sophie starts a notebook, drawing and describing what she sees each day while Pip, Gran's plump little sparrow, keeps her company on the sill.
Each day brings a different scene: a green forest with a silver stream, a snowy hill with a smoking cottage, golden leaves in the wind, pink blossoms on a twisted tree. When Gran gently suggests looking at the notes all together, Sophie lines up her drawings and makes a startling discovery about the order behind the changes. The tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN follows her careful observations, and it can be read on Online Masal.
