On a rainy Saturday, Lily goes up to the dusty attic in search of her old kite and instead discovers a large painting hidden beneath a sheet. The portrait depicts a gentle lady with silver hair, and when Lily whispers a greeting, the painted lips appear to move and a soft voice urges her to follow the leaves. Lily hurries to bring Grandpa Arthur back to the attic so they can listen once more, and the carved leaves on the frame point them toward the window.
From there, Lily and her grandfather venture into the wet streets of Brambleford, following clues that lead to the village square, Mrs. Penny's bakery and the old village hall. A faded map and a loose floorboard reveal a small brass key, and with Mrs. Penny now joining them, the key opens the long-locked clock tower. This gentle mystery by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN can be read on Online Masal.
