Under the wooden stage of the Grand Old Theater, in a snug hole lined with scraps of velvet curtain, lives a small mouse named Pip. With soft grey fur, round pink ears and a bright red neckerchief, he keeps himself hidden and passes his days practicing sounds with his paws and his squeaky voice. Each night he peeks through the floorboards to watch the performances, drawn to the music, the lights and above all the sound effects that give every scene its life.
One evening, as the curtain rises before a full house, the theater's sound-effects machine breaks with a loud clunk and goes silent. The actors are bewildered and the audience starts to murmur. Pip hurries backstage, where he meets Bertie the bear, a kind stagehand in a blue cap, along with Flossie the duck and Toby the ginger tabby cat. Together they work out how to produce the missing sounds themselves. This gentle tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN follows a quiet character who finds a purpose for his secret talent, and it can be read on Online Masal.
