The Strawberry Telescope

Mia cherishes her Saturdays in Grandpa Leo's garden, where strawberries grow and stories are told. One bright morning, Grandpa Leo hands her a brass telescope with a strawberry-red lens cap, explaining it was his own when he was her age and that it reveals things one might otherwise overlook. Mia promises to care for it and sets off to find the perfect strawberry.

Peering through the lens at a plump berry, Mia finds a hidden miniature world among the seeds, complete with small gardens, winding paths, and a tiny creature named Pip in an acorn-cap hat. Pip shows her how seeds live and grow, explaining that roots reach down and stems reach up, and that water, warmth, and light are needed to sprout. Mia also learns that every seed wakes in its own time and that patience belongs to science. This gentle story by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN can be read on Online Masal.
