High above the countryside, a workshop drifts on a cloud, a place where rainbows are painted, polished, and mended. Master Sol, with his rainbow-streaked hair and gentle eyes, guides the work there, and on this day a young apprentice named Iris is practicing how to close a small tear along a rainbow's edge. Iris is about ten, with warm brown skin, curly dark hair marked by one bright violet streak, and sky-blue overalls with rainbow-striped pockets. She dreams of one day repairing a rainbow entirely on her own.
Then a powerful storm rocks the shop and rips several rainbows outside into fragments, scattering pieces of color across the sky. Master Sol hands Iris her first major task: recover the scattered pieces and set them back in the correct order before sunrise. Together with Nimbus, a round cloud helper, and Pip, a tiny hummingbird carrying a copper compass, she sets out to collect the red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and violet fragments. The tale, written by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN, follows their teamwork through obstacles such as a slipping yellow piece on a sunbeam and a green piece carried off by the wind. It can be read on Online Masal.
