The Day Clouds Turned Square

In the quiet village of Willowfield, ten-year-old Mia spends her mornings with her grandfather Elias, the village weather watcher, learning how clouds form from tiny water droplets and why they constantly change shape. With her magnifying glass, notebooks and her friend Toby beside her, she pays close attention to the sky.

One morning the clouds above Willowfield turn perfectly square, and the villagers gather to stare, puzzled and uneasy. Mia begins to investigate, recording what she sees and following a clue to a silver balloon on the hill. Guided by Grandpa Elias, she and Toby share what they learn with their neighbours. Written by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN, this gentle tale about curiosity and careful observation can be read on Online Masal.
