In Sunnybrook, where the sun always shines and rain always falls from the sky, curious Clara notices something odd one afternoon: raindrops rising from puddles instead of dropping from the clouds. With her tool belt, her notebook and her loyal sparrow friend Pip, she sets out to find out why the water is behaving so strangely. Her search leads her along a trail of damp spots to the top of a hill, where an old machine with pipes, gears and a whirring fan is sucking water from a stream and shooting it into the sky.
Clara soon realizes the machine's main valve is broken and that she cannot repair it alone. Help arrives in the form of Professor Merrin, a visiting scientist, and then Mayor Hodd, whose dry fountains and wilting garden first raised the alarm. When more hands are needed, the villagers climb the hill with tools and snacks, forming a line to pass parts and hold pipes steady. Written by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN, this gentle tale about observation, persistence and teamwork can be read on Online Masal.
