Rosie the rabbit lives in a cozy burrow beside a wide, winding river, and each morning she takes her wooden paint box to the water's edge. There she collects smooth, round pebbles and decorates them with flowers, animals, and bright swirls of color, leaving them along the path for anyone to find. Her best friend Willow the squirrel enjoys watching her mix colors, and the painted stones quietly brighten the woodland, noticed by birds, a family of mice, and old Mr. Badger.

One afternoon heavy rain swells the river until it floods the low paths, cutting off Bramble the hedgehog and his neighbors on the far bank while the usual trail markers disappear under the brown water. Rosie knows every hidden stone near the river, and she realizes her paint box can do more than decorate. This gentle tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN can be read on Online Masal.
