Princess Liana adores flowers and spends her days wandering the palace garden with her woven basket. One day she comes across a book about rare jungle orchids whose petals resemble purple butterflies, and she becomes set on having a crown made from them. She hurries to Old Gardener Finn for help, but he quietly explains that these orchids are endangered and that picking the last wild ones would mean losing them for good.
Unsure of what to do, Liana seeks out her mother, Queen Amara, who reminds her that true beauty respects nature. That night Liana arrives at her own solution: rather than taking from the jungle, she will raise her own orchid garden at the palace. Under Finn's guidance she learns about soil, careful watering, shade and keeping insects away without harming them, and though her hands and dress get dirty, she tends her seeds patiently. This gentle tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN follows her quiet effort and can be read on Online Masal.
