Miko, a clever monkey with warm brown fur and a belt pouch of twigs and liana cord, enjoys discovering how things work and mending whatever he can. One morning a sniffle leads him to Pip, a small grey rabbit in a red scarf, stranded at the edge of a wide gap between treetops. Pip cannot leap the distance, Tilly the squirrel waits on the far side, and the only other path runs along the dark forest floor, where roots and shadows confuse small animals.
Miko decides the forest deserves a route that stays up in the light. With liana cord from his pouch, twigs and acorns Tilly gathers, and Pip's nimble paws reaching tight spots, the three friends weave a bridge across the gap while Olda the owl, wise and bespectacled, keeps watch and reminds them it must hold for everyone. The work lasts a full day, yet the animals persist. Written by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN, this gentle tale of ingenuity and cooperation can be read on Online Masal.
