Emma collects tiny treasures: buttons in a tin, pebbles in a jar, and a magnifying glass on a string around her neck. When her grandpa Joe gives her an old matchbox for her collection, she finds something remarkable inside: a little stage with red paper curtains and paper actors no taller than matchsticks. Pip, the flame-haired lead actor and director, and Mim, the shy costume designer with a toothpick wand, perform a play about a brave mouse and a sleepy moon, and Emma watches hardly breathing through her magnifying glass. This tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN can be read on Online Masal.
When a crack in the cardboard stage threatens to end the performances, Emma turns to Grandpa Joe's workshop. Together they search boxes of recycled crafts, including bottle caps, cardboard, fabric scraps and old buttons, and build a new stage with a spinning bottle-cap spotlight and curtains made from an old red sock. The tiny actors work alongside Emma, carrying toothpick beams and painting backdrops, and the whole company prepares a new play called The Star Garden. The story shows how creativity grows from simple materials and a good idea, and how teamwork between generations can turn scraps into something wonderful.
