As the sun sets and fireflies appear, a jaguar named Rumi walks a familiar jungle path each night, carrying a round lantern gently in his mouth. The lantern was given to him by an old friend, and he keeps it glowing because he believes a light is meant to be shared. The creatures of the jungle recognize his warm glow and feel calmer whenever he passes by.
One evening, a monkey family lingers too long collecting sweet berries and finds every path looking the same in the dark. A steady glow appears between the trees: Rumi, offering to guide them to their fig tree across the river. Though the monkeys hesitate at first, his soft eyes and kind voice win their trust, and he walks slowly so they can keep up.
