The Iceberg Library

In the icy sea, a giant iceberg holds a cozy library managed by Pip, a small round penguin with round glasses and a knitted teal scarf. Each morning he polishes the shelves and stamps library cards, convinced that knowledge is a treasure worth protecting. His helpers are Millie, a young seal with silvery-grey spotted fur and a bright yellow waterproof apron who balances towers of books on her nose, and Grandpa Walrus, huge and gentle, with long white tusks and a red woolly hat. Together they keep the library bright and busy and welcome readers to this unusual place.

One morning Pip feels the ice turn slippery and soft beneath him, and a thin ribbon of water runs down a shelf. A warm current is pushing the iceberg toward the sunny sea, and the books are in danger. Pip gathers Millie and Grandpa Walrus, and they plan how to rescue every volume. Written by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN, the tale follows their determined efforts as the iceberg creaks and tilts. The story can be read on Online Masal.
