In a lush jungle where a river runs singing, a parrot named Pico stands out with his emerald feathers, sunny yellow chest and berry-red tail tips. Pico spends his days listening closely and copying every sound he hears, from Mama Tortoise's slow rumbling laugh on the left bank to Bumble the Monkey's quick chattering giggle on the right. Though the animals seldom meet, his mimicry keeps the two banks feeling near to one another. This tale is written by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN.

When heavy rain floods the river, the two sides lose contact and the water's roar drowns out their friendly calls. In the quiet that follows, the animals begin to imagine the worst about their neighbours. Pico notices the growing sadness and wonders whether his talent for copying sounds could do more than entertain. The story, which can be read on Online Masal, follows his efforts to reconnect the separated communities and gently explores how fear grows when communication stops.
