The Crownless Queen

Queen Eliza sets out one sunny morning along a dusty path toward a small village, dressed in a simple sky-blue gown and brown leather boots, hoping to lend a hand to the people there. A little girl named Mira recognises her immediately, but Eliza asks her to keep the secret: for today she is just Eliza. With Pip, a fluffy golden puppy wearing a jingling red collar, the two go off to see what they can do.

All day the three friends work alongside the villagers. Eliza holds boards for Tomas, an elderly carpenter repairing his roof, carries heavy buckets of water for a garden, and helps a farmer gather his scattered goats and chickens while Pip herds them gently. Her gown gets splashed and her hair falls loose, and the villagers whisper about the kind stranger among them. This tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN can be read on Online Masal, where its gentle message about kindness and helpfulness unfolds.
