Princess Ada enjoys wandering the twisty halls of her castle, always carrying her notebook and pencil. One morning she finds a hidden brass panel covered with levers and dials. Pulling a small lever makes the whole castle rumble, and giant metal legs unfold beneath it, turning the building into a walking machine. Queen Meridian and Old Crank, the castle engineer, explain that the castle has not walked in a hundred years.

Now the castle stomps across the kingdom and into a neighboring land, and Ada must learn to control it before it causes harm. With her notebook she plans each step, avoiding villages and fields, while Old Crank shows her which levers lift the legs and which ones steer. Pip, her clockwork mouse, scouts ahead to warn of obstacles. Written by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN, this tale about planning and staying calm can be read on Online Masal.
