The Blueberry Baker

In the middle of a green forest lives Benny the bear, widely regarded as the finest baker around. Wearing his white apron and red neckerchief, he keeps a warm little bakery stocked with blueberry pies, scones and pancakes made from wild berries. One bright morning, while out gathering fruit, he comes upon an enormous patch of blueberry bushes heavy with berries. Thrilled by the sight, he fills his basket to the top and strips the bushes clean.

On the way home, Benny meets Pip, a tiny blue songbird, and Hazel, a young rabbit. Both are hungry and unable to find any berries. Benny sees what his eagerness has cost his friends, and he listens as they quietly point out that the forest can feed everyone when we share and take only what we need.
