The Aurora Violin

Mira lives at the edge of a snowy wood and spends every evening practicing her violin while her grandpa, Ollie, listens from his rocking chair. One winter night he gives her a small wooden violin that was his own when he was her age. Mira takes it out into the cold, crisp night and plays in a clearing where the sky is wide and dark.

A white snowshoe hare with a red scarf hops out to sit beside her, and as Mira draws her bow, a tiny spark of green light dances above the violin and the sky begins to glow with swirling colors. Each tune she plays changes the lights overhead, and a red fox and a snowy owl come out to listen. This warm winter tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN follows Mira through one night of discovery, and it can be read on Online Masal.
