The Ant-Sized Astronaut

In a sun-warmed backyard, a tiny astronaut named Captain Pip prepares for a big adventure. Wearing a glossy white spacesuit with orange stripes and silver boots, he boards his homemade rocket and launches from a red flowerpot to explore the vast world he calls Backyard. Landing in the tall grass, he sets off with his brass compass, a small red backpack thruster and a notebook for discoveries.

Pip crosses a muddy puddle on a fallen leaf, meets ants who reveal a secret tunnel under a stone, and watches bees share directions through their dance. He befriends Beetle Bob, a shiny blue beetle with a red neckerchief and a satchel of useful things. When Pip's rocket gets stuck high in a spiderweb, the two must think carefully and work together. This gentle tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN, readable on Online Masal, follows a small hero through a familiar landscape made wondrous by his size.
