Daisy lives in Sunnybrook, a cozy village with tidy streets and blooming gardens, and she explores every path with her green satchel bouncing at her side. One bright morning she finds a shimmering flower at the edge of the woods, a wish flower with five glowing petals, and her friend Pip, a plump sparrow in a red scarf, warns her to think before she acts. Daisy does not think, and she plucks a petal to wish for a mountain of toys.
Each petal brings exactly what Daisy asks for, but the results spill into the village in ways she never imagined. Toys block doors and windows, a giant cake draws swarms of bees, and clouds of butterflies make it hard to see or walk. Mayor Bumble sputters, neighbors grumble, and Grandpa Ollie gently reminds Daisy that wishes are powerful and should be made with care. Daisy must decide how to use the petals she has left to set her village right again. This illustrated fairy tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN can be read on Online Masal.
