The Village Inside a Raindrop

On a gray, rainy afternoon, Oliver looks closely at a single raindrop on the windowpane and finds a miniature village inside it, complete with curved-roof houses, tiny bakers and children at play. An orange-haired villager in an acorn-cap hat waves up at him, and Oliver is soon greeted by Mayor Bramble, a round man with a bushy grey beard and round spectacles.

When the raindrop starts to slide down the glass, the villagers panic and Oliver knows he must act fast without harming their delicate world. A jar does not work, so he turns to his neighbor Professor Mira, who loves curious things, and together they find a gentle way to keep the village safe. Written by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN, this quiet story about curiosity and careful observation can be read on Online Masal.
