The Moss King's Secret

Ben cares about his red marble more than anything else, so its sudden disappearance into a thick patch of green moss in the garden sends him searching everywhere. Just as he is about to give up, a tiny squeaky sound leads him to a hidden village of moss people, each no bigger than his thumb.

The village leader, King Mossley, reveals that a new building project could crush their home, and the villagers cannot agree on what to do. Pippa, a young moss girl, wants to move right away to a safe corner near the rose bush, while Old Fern, the village elder, insists they must stay because their roots and ancestors lie beneath the moss. Ben listens carefully to both sides and offers a solution that keeps their homes and their safety together. Written by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN, this gentle tale about listening, teamwork and creative problem-solving can be read on Online Masal.
