The Moonstone Princess

In a distant land, a castle on a hill shines day and night because of a magic moonstone floating in its great hall. Princess Selene, a kind and curious girl with silver-blonde hair and crescent-shaped freckles, enjoys watching its glow, and the castle feels safe in that light. One morning she finds the moonstone dimmed, its pearly surface cracked and its smile gone, and she understands she must help.

Together with Toby, a cheerful castle helper who always carries his little brass lantern, Selene walks the halls and notices lamps blazing in empty rooms, candles burning on unused tables and chandeliers sparkling over nobody. The moonstone is being worn out by wasted light. Selene suggests using only the light you need, and Queen Luna, her wise mother, helps share the idea with everyone.
