Mira hurries to the window each morning before breakfast, eager to study the sky, the clouds and the rooftops of her small town. On a windy Tuesday, something unusual catches her eye: tiny silver flecks spinning through the air right past her nose. She calls her friend Toby, who comes with his brown satchel notebook, and the two decide to follow the glittering trail rather than stay indoors with their toast.
Their search leads them past the bakery, the old stone bridge and the final garden gate, until the town lies behind them and a tall mountain stands ahead. Mira, in her yellow raincoat and blue rubber boots, and Toby, in his green hooded jacket, climb a winding pine-lined path where the wind hums and silver grains dance. This gentle tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN follows curiosity, careful observation and friendship, and can be read on Online Masal.
