Bella, small orange butterfly with black veins and white spots on her wings, is setting out on a long migration across a golden desert. Before departing, her grandfather, Grandpa Monarch, teaches her the skills a traveler needs: testing the wind by lifting one wing, following the sun, and reading the land through landmarks like tall rocks and twisted cacti. She packs a tiny leaf pouch with a single drop of nectar and leaves before sunrise, whispering "flap by flap" to herself.
Along the way she meets Pip, a glossy blue-black beetle in a red scarf who carries a canteen made from a seed pod. Pip shares water and points her toward a red rock shaped like a sleeping giant, then the three twisted cacti, helping her find the oases one by one. This illustrated tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN shows young readers how preparation, patience and careful observation make a hard journey possible, and it can be read on Online Masal. Suited to early primary children, it opens gentle conversation about migration, kindness from strangers, and the confidence that comes from learning a skill well.
