Luna lives in a small cottage at the edge of the forest, baking each morning with flour, water and honey, though her bread never rises as high as she wishes. One night she leaves a bowl of dough on the windowsill, and by morning it has puffed up like a soft white cloud. Baked into rolls, it tastes of moonlight and honey, and Luna decides to open a bakery that works only at night, called The Moonlight Bakery, with a crescent moon sign on the door.
On the first night a small brown owl named Pip lands on her counter, and word of the warm moon rolls spreads through the forest. A hedgehog courier, Bramble, arrives with his woven basket, followed by bats, moths and a family of foxes with their orders. Then a traveling night merchant named Mira brings a long list from all over the valley and asks whether Luna can fill it before sunrise. This gentle tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN follows Luna and her new friends as they share the work of baking, packing and delivering. It can be read on Online Masal.
