The Mermaid's Umbrella

Pearl, a young mermaid with warm tan skin and a shimmering teal tail, spends her days exploring the ocean with her friend Old Turtle Tibbs. When she peeks through the broken window of an old shipwreck, she discovers a strange purple-and-gold object with a curved shell handle. Tibbs recognises it as an enchanted umbrella, and when Pearl presses its little button, big rainbow-coloured bubbles float out instead of rain.

Soon the umbrella becomes the favourite toy in the reef, with small creatures taking turns riding inside the bubbles. A tiny seahorse named Pip and his mother Coral are among the first to try it. Then one afternoon a wild storm churns the water, and Pearl must decide whether her umbrella is only a game or something more.
