The Lost Crown

In a green valley, Princess Lily lives in a castle with her father, the king. Every morning he puts on his golden crown, which keeps the kingdom's magical shield strong. When the crown vanishes one day and the shield starts to fade at its edges, Lily promises her worried father that she will find it. She packs a small bag of bread and apples and leaves the castle walls behind.

Sir Benny, a friendly knight in silver armour and a red cape, and Nutkin, a russet-red squirrel with a chipped ear who knows every tree and trail, travel with her. Large footprints lead the three friends through a whispering forest and up a rocky mountain path to a cave with smoke curling from its entrance. There they meet Grumble, a round troll in a patched vest who is wearing the crown. Written by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN, this tale about kindness and honesty can be read on Online Masal.
