On a wild, windy island where the sea crashes against tall rocky cliffs, a small rockhopper penguin named Pip spends his days hopping from rock to rock, curious about everything around him. One day he meets Corma, a sleek cormorant with glossy black feathers and a long hooked beak, and the two become fast friends. Pip teaches Corma to hop up the steep, slippery paths, and Corma teaches Pip to dive deep and swim fast through the cold, clear water.
When their penguin and cormorant families must travel to a new home across the jagged cliffs, the grown-ups fear the path is too dangerous. Pip's mother, Mama Hop, thinks he is too small to help, but Elder Wing, Corma's wise grandfather, believes that sometimes the smallest have the biggest ideas. Pip and Corma set out to scout the cliffs together and discover a sheltered passage hidden behind a curtain of seaweed, safe from the wind and waves. Leading both families through it, they face a deep puddle that blocks the way and must find a clever solution by working as a team. This gentle tale by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL can be read on Masal İzle and shows young readers how friends with different strengths can help one another.
