Eight-year-old Mia visits an animal rescue center hoping to give a guinea pig a forever home. There she meets Pip, a bold black-and-white guinea pig, and Nutmeg, a shy golden-brown one, who are best friends. A volunteer explains they should stay together, so Mia takes both. With her family's help, she sets up a spacious cage in the living room corner, complete with soft bedding, a fleece hideaway, a cardboard tunnel, and a chew toy. The story follows how the two guinea pigs settle into their new life.

At first Pip and Nutmeg are timid, hiding in the tunnel and under the fleece. Mia sits quietly nearby, speaks gently, offers hay and cucumber, and lets them sniff her fingers at their own pace. Day by day trust grows, and the guinea pigs begin to popcorn with joy, race through tunnels, and share food. Mia learns that guinea pigs are social animals needing companionship, and she keeps adding hiding places and a cardboard maze. When she brings a school friend to meet them, she shows how calm sitting helps animals feel safe. This tale by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL can be read on Masal İzle.
