The Girl and the Rescue Owl

Maya is a young girl with curly puff hair who adores owls and has spent the whole week eagerly awaiting her visit to a wildlife rescue center, counting sleeps and sketching owls on every scrap of paper she can find. On arrival she meets Dr. Lena, a calm and knowledgeable veterinarian, and Sam, a friendly volunteer, who welcome her as their young helper and introduce her to the careful work of caring for injured wild animals.

Maya is soon introduced to Hoot, a great horned owl whose injured wing is wrapped in a blue bandage. Guided by Dr. Lena, she learns to feed Hoot, clean his wound and keep him calm, and she assists Sam with display boards that teach visitors about owls and wildlife protection. As her confidence and skills grow day by day, she shares what she has learned with her family at home. Written by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL, this gentle story can be read on Masal İzle.
