Lila, a seven-year-old who lives in a small house at the end of a winding lane, spends her happiest hours in a garden full of tall sunflowers, buzzing bees and an old wooden bench. One sunny morning a tiny finch with a bright orange-red face lands on the fence and sings, and Lila takes out a notebook and pencil from her green satchel to write the tune down. The notebook soon becomes her sound journal, and more birds follow: a bluebird with a bell-like song, a robin in the apple tree and a quick, jolly sparrow near the birdbath.

As she learns that each bird is a different musician and every song a gift, Lila begins waking early to catch the dawn chorus. Then one morning the garden goes silent and the finch does not appear, so she must wait patiently and listen with all her might until she finds out where her little friend has been. Written by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL, this gentle tale about patience, careful listening and the music of nature can be read on Masal İzle.
