Sam is a curious boy with warm light-brown skin, short wavy black hair and large dark-brown eyes that take in every detail of his garden. One warm night, dressed in his blue pyjama top patterned with white stars, he slips outside with a red watering can to discover what happens while everyone else sleeps. A tiny pale-gold moth flutters past his nose, settles on a white flower and appears to smile at him, and Sam follows it from bloom to bloom, watching it carry yellow pollen as it goes. In this gentle tale by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL, Mama explains that the moth is pollinating the flowers, doing at night what bees do by day, and that many flowers depend on moths to make seeds.

Inspired, Sam visits Grandpa, who hands him a packet of moonflower seeds and calls moths night gardeners. Together they dig small holes and plant the seeds, while Mama helps Sam choose evening primrose, night phlox and sweet tobacco. Each evening Sam waters and waits, and the story follows his patient work as he adds a stone path, a shallow dish of water and a hand-made Night Garden sign, then shares what he has learned with the neighborhood children. This quiet story about curiosity and caring for nature can be read on Masal İzle.
