On a windy Saturday morning, a young boy visits his Uncle Ramon's rooftop and finds a loft filled with rescue pigeons. He does not expect much from the birds at first, but his uncle introduces him to Pepper, a blue-grey pigeon with a red leg band and a white patch on her wing. Through patient explanations, the boy learns that these clever helpers can find their way home from miles away by using the sun, the stars, the earth's magnetic field and familiar landmarks. What starts as mild curiosity gradually becomes genuine respect.
When a sudden storm rolls in and the flock panics, the boy has to put everything he has learned into practice. Staying calm and speaking softly, he follows Pepper's lead and works alongside his uncle to guide the frightened birds back into the loft, including the last two huddled on the ledge. Written by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL, this gentle tale about trust and teamwork can be read on Masal İzle.
