The Koala's New Path

In the tall gum trees, Kiki the koala and Gus the gliding possum share a leafy home with other animals and follow a safe daily route from the low branches to the high feeding grounds. Kiki checks each branch while Gus glides ahead calling "All clear!" One wild, windy night, a giant gum tree crashes across their path and leaves everyone stranded, unable to reach the high gum leaves.

Kiki and Gus act quickly. Gus proposes a treetop bridge high above the fallen tree, and the two work all day, with Gus carrying vine cord across the gap and Kiki testing every knot and branch. Friends bring twigs and leaves, and the bridge slowly takes shape, though the question of whether it will hold everyone, including Wally the wombat, remains open. This tale by Çınar BİBER follows their teamwork and careful planning, and it can be read on Masalcı Baba, where the story's gentle adventure unfolds for young readers.
