Deep beneath a meadow, a small mole named Molly wears round red glasses and a green knitted scarf. Digging is her joy, yet what she treasures most is catching the tiny sounds all around her. One morning her paws strike something hard, and she lifts out a carved wooden music box fitted with a little brass key. Wound up, it plays a sweet tune, and the dark tunnel ahead starts to glow as though the melody is lighting her path.
Drawn along by the music, Molly finds a wide underground concert hall that has lain silent and forgotten for years, its chairs broken and its grand piano wrapped in cobwebs. She gathers her friends Bertie the beaver, Ruby the rabbit and Ollie the owl, who once led the hall's last concert, and together they mend the chairs, clear the dust and tune the old piano, each lending the skill they have. This gentle tale by Çınar BİBER can be read on Masalcı Baba.
