In the wide blue ocean, where sunlight flickers across the waves, there lives a small lanternfish. His round body is as blue as the deep sea, his silver belly sparkles, and a tiny lantern on a short stalk above his head glows with a warm yellow light. This gentle glow makes the dark water feel friendly, and he enjoys swimming off to explore.
Near a coral arch one day, he hears a worried little voice and meets Shrimp, a pale coral-pink shrimp whose antennae twitch and whose dark eyes are full of fear of the deep dark water. The lanternfish offers to light the way, and Shrimp, after hesitating, follows close behind. Their path leads to the edge of a deep canyon, where strange shapes loom and Shrimp's fear returns. This tale by Çınar BİBER shows how courage can grow when a friend stays beside you. It can be read on Masalcı Baba.
