In a green valley, Bruno the giant is known for his enormous size, but his greatest joy is a garden no larger than a dinner plate. There he tends pink pimpernels, tiny blue speedwells and little white daisies, using a magnifying lens on a cord to check each leaf. Though his hands can lift boulders, they tremble near a single petal, and when his clumsy thumb snaps a daisy stem, he begins to doubt he is suited to such delicate work.

Bruno tries building tiny tools from twigs and bent pins, but his fingers fumble and the acorn-cap watering can spills. Then a family of mice arrives, led by Pippa in her red knitted scarf and seed-packet apron, along with old Tobias in his blue waistcoat and round spectacles. They show him that gardening is mostly patience, and the friends practice moving gently day by day. This tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN can be read on Online Masal.
