Lily, a cheerful girl in a yellow raincoat and red rubber boots, loves searching the woods for hidden treasures. Beside a bubbling stream she discovers a tiny silver bell half-buried in the mud, and when she rings it, a small fairy with silver-white hair and a petal dress rises above the water. The fairy knows Lily's name and offers her a small favor, and so begins a series of wishes that Lily makes with growing eagerness.

At first the bell seems like the best thing that has ever happened to her, but Lily notices that the fairy grows quieter with each wish and that the bell's glow dims a little. Then a storm rolls over the forest, and Lily hears a frightened bleat near the old oak. A young deer is trapped by fallen branches and a tangled vine collar, and she cannot free it alone. Written by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN, this tale about kindness and responsibility can be read on Online Masal.
