In the town of Sunnybrook, smiles are usually as plentiful as dandelions, so everyone is puzzled when one morning no one smiles at all. Eight-year-old Daisy notices that her parents, her little brother and even Mr. Pennywhistle the shopkeeper have all lost their smiles, and with her fluffy dog Pip she sets out to discover why.
At Mr. Pennywhistle's shop, Daisy learns that this is the first day of spring, once marked by the town's yearly celebration of kindness, which everyone has forgotten. Determined to bring the celebration back, she takes a shiny red apple and begins sharing small acts of kindness around town. This tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN follows her efforts and can be read on Online Masal.
