The City Above the Rain

Leo is a nine-year-old boy living in Sunhaven, a city that floats high above the clouds, where the sun always shines and no one has ever seen rain, snow, thunder or a rainbow. Curious and adventurous, he wears his yellow raincoat and red rubber boots even though it never rains, and one day he discovers a small gap in the shimmering cloud barrier at the edge of the city.

With his companion Pip, a fluffy cloud-spirit cat with pale blue eyes and a brass bell on its ribbon, Leo slips through the gap and tumbles down to a green world below, where he feels rain on his face, sees a rainbow arching across the sky, watches drifting snowflakes, hears rumbling thunder and smells the fresh earth after a storm.
