In a dusty workshop filled with gears and springs, a tiny clockwork girl named Ada awakens with amber glass eyes and a winding key on her back. The only thing she remembers is a pretty melody, and that tune draws her out into a town where mechanical birds sing on rooftops and clockwork carts roll along by themselves.
Lost among strangers who hurry past, Ada meets Pip, a boy in a patched mustard jacket who recognizes her song from an old music box. Together they seek out Moss, an old inventor with round goggles and a brass hearing aid, who knows the tune and points them toward a clockmaker on the hill. Their journey takes them across a bridge of singing pipes and up a hill of ticking clocks, where a closed door and a dark window test Ada's hope. Written by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN, this gentle tale for young readers and read-aloud adults explores what home and family truly mean, and can be read on Online Masal.
