Leo, a seven-year-old boy living at the edge of a green meadow, one sunny morning follows a soft, funny sound and finds a miniature donkey by the fence, wearing a bright blue halter with a small brass bell. He names the donkey Pepper for the tiny dark spots on its nose, offers a crunchy carrot, and so a new friendship starts. Every afternoon from then on, Leo visits Pepper to play chase, brush his coat, and tell him stories.
When the evenings grow chilly, Leo sees Pepper shivering and realizes his friend needs more than company. With his parents' help and a crayon plan of his own, he builds a small wooden shelter with a wide door, a bright blue door matching Pepper's halter, and a bed of fresh straw. The story follows the daily routines of caring for a small animal, from filling the water bucket to leading gentle walks. Written by Aysel Banu YAVUZAL, this tale can be read on Masal İzle.
