The Girl and the Hedgehog Rescue

Mia is a curious girl with a deep love for animals and a habit of asking endless questions about them. When her neighbor tells her about a hedgehog rescue center close by, she visits without hesitation and meets Dr. Penny Ward, the kind expert who runs the place. There Mia finds Pip, a sick and frightened hedgehog wrapped in a blue towel, and begins learning how to care for him with gentleness and knowledge.

Dr. Penny shows Mia that helping wildlife takes patience, the right equipment such as gloves, and attention to each animal's needs, from a diet of insects and worms to keeping things clean. Wanting to do more, Mia makes cheerful leaflets with tips for helping hedgehogs in gardens, checks them with Dr. Penny, and shares them at school and around her neighborhood.
